The CCI Awards, officially known as the Cultural and Creative Industry Awards, is one of South Africa’s premier events celebrating talent, innovation and artistic excellence across the creative industries. The awards recognise the individuals and organisations whose work drives cultural expression, strengthens social connection and contributes to the growth of South Africa’s vibrant arts sector.
With a glamorous red carpet, a grand awards ceremony and a lineup of celebrated artists, performers and cultural icons, the CCI Awards showcase the very best of South African creativity.
CoolerBox Brothers joined the project at extremely short notice. The team received confirmation on the Wednesday before the Easter weekend event and immediately mobilised production. Setup began on Thursday and continued through Good Friday to prepare for the full ceremony taking place on Saturday.
Within hours, a twelve person camera crew and multi camera production setup were in place. Cameras were streamed live to the large screens in the venue, allowing the audience to experience every moment of the ceremony in real time.
Following the event, the team moved straight into post production, delivering the fully edited programme and promotional content for broadcast on SABC within one week.
The project demonstrates how experienced production teams can mobilise quickly, manage complex live event filming and deliver broadcast ready content under intense deadlines.
