The Takealot Personal Shopper Programme gives individuals the opportunity to earn commission by placing orders on behalf of others through the Takealot app. The initiative was designed to expand access to online shopping, particularly in township and rural communities where many people may not have direct access to e commerce services.

Rather than focusing only on the platform itself, the video highlights the people who make the programme possible. The story follows individuals who are using the Personal Shopper Programme to create opportunities for themselves while helping their communities connect to the convenience of online retail.

Through personal stories, authentic moments and carefully crafted visuals, the production reveals how the programme supports entrepreneurship and provides a practical way for people to generate income.

CoolerBox Brothers was responsible for shaping the final version of the video in post production. The editing process focused on weaving together the personal stories, building a clear narrative flow and enhancing the footage through sound design, colour grading and graphic elements.

Because the interviews were conducted in several South African vernacular languages, the team worked with editors who understood the languages to ensure the meaning of each story remained accurate. The conversations were then subtitled in English so the message could reach a wider audience while preserving the authenticity of each speaker.

The result is a story driven video that celebrates initiative, community and the growing role of e commerce in creating new opportunities across South Africa.
